St. Patrick’s Day – Family Fun Night

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the whole family at South Jackson Performing Arts Center during this IRISH CONCERT.

     Please come to join Jim and Inge Wood and friends on March 13th at South Jackson Performing Arts Center for a celebration of Irish music and dance.  Jim and Inge Wood have a long history of exploring the Celtic roots of American folk music, and this program of Irish fiddle music and songs is the culmination of this interest.  They will be joined by percussionist and 2023 and 2024 National Buck Dancing Champion Angela Wood and vocalist Ben Ayers (who sings in Gaelic) for an evening of tunes, songs, and dance celebrating our Celtic heritage.  Guests will also include Irish step dancer Bethany Suttles, percussionist Russell Wharton, and fiddlers Jonathan and Abigail Ward.

     At 5:00, Inge and Angela will conduct a FREE WORKSHOP teaching sean-nos (traditional Irish free-style dance).  All ages are welcome, and no experience is necessary

NOTE: Online sales will be available until 2 hours prior to showtime.
